"Getting Better With Age!"
Today is my 28th birthday. I haven’t really talked about it very much because I don’t like realizing how old I am getting. 27 was a good year for me. While I was 27 I accomplished a lot of things that I am proud. Here are a few of the things that I have done this year:
I was an alumni trainer for the Texas State Park Ambassador training. Had the time of my life hanging out with like-minded people who want to preserve the state parks in Texas.
I ran a few more 5Ks.
Started my own website/blog/podcast, to share all my adventures and stories with the world.
Floated the Comal River twice this summer!
Got a 4.0 in my last 2 semesters in grad school.
I learned how to eat healthier and have fun cooking for myself more.
Did a few solo trips and checked off a few more Texas state parks off my list.
And to round it all out I spent this last weekend climbing up two 14ers with a few of my buddies.
The more that I sit back and reflect on the last few years of my life I come to realize that the old saying is right, things do get better with age.
"Cheers"
