Sunrise or Sunset?
There are definitely two types of people when it comes to watching the sun. Either they are people who prefer the sunrise or the sunset. I personally love when I get a chance to get a view of both sunrise and the sunset. Now I know it is trickier to get a view of the sunrise because that would mean that you have to wake up earlier, but I think it is definitely worth it.
I have decided for the next 2 weeks I am going to wake up early and enjoy the view of the sunrise. I have been stressing out a lot here lately about school, work, and life in general. So just finding that time early in the morning to enjoy my coffee and watch as a new day begins will be refreshing. We spend so much time in our lives rushing, worrying, and checking things off our to-do list that we allow for all that stress to build up. But when you pause your life for a moment to simply breathe, relax, and take in the scenery it can be very positive.
Over the years I have taken a lot of sunrise and sunset pictures. Now I am not trying to toot my own horn but I think some of my best pictures are those sunrise and sunset ones. You can see some of the pictures on my latest Instagram post. I find the simple joy knowing that each sunset/sunrise is completely different from the last, and no 2 sunrises/sunsets are the same, just like a snow flake.
I challenge you to set aside some time in your day for the next week to watch the sunrise or sunset and just simply relax for a few minutes. See if you can tell a difference in your mental and physical health.
